I've spent the day with the first round of the September issues. The September issues are the biggest and best issues of the year. And fall fashion is the best fashion season of the year. On top of spending the day neck deep in the best of the best of fall fashion, MTV is running Hills behind the scenes marathons. Ma
What more could a California Dreamin' girl want?
Mags are: Lucky, Elle, Glamour & Ocean.
I also picked up a copy of Twilight today - yeah, I know I'm about 3 years behind on this stuff - but I've resisted for too long. Im just about all prepped for Vegas - outfits picked out, purchases made, all that needs to be done is pack the bags!
Hope your Sunday is equally relaxing!
It's Friday, and Ness and I went to my local florist to see what was in... nice arrangements this week!
Had a great day - finally got Ness & Franci together for lunch over Olive Garden (the commerical is right! People make friends at the OG!) and then we hung out and talked, watched Enchanted (Im making everyone watch it lately, it seems) and Ness and I went to the florist to pick out these beauties.
In other news, Phoenix Fashion Week planning is fully underway. It's exciting.. we're less than 60 days out now, and it's really culminating. I'm totally on Fashion Week Diet - getting really tough on myself, but it'll be good :) I'll have 4 red carpet events, so I'll need 4 different looks. I have one down (I think!) and 3 more to go!
I'm leaving for LAS VEGAS two weeks from today, and while I'm there, I plan on stopping by the MAGIC conference. I can't wait! And the shopping. FEAR FOR THE STORES!
My littlest sister in law is signing up to be an Ambassador for PFW, and she's so excited. She wants to be an event coordinator, and this will give her some awesome on the job trainning. I'm so proud of her taking this step.. Fashion Week could be a great jumping off point for her career!
As far as what I've been up to.. I've just been getting in some jobs, slowly, and spending time with friends/family. They went neglected too long! Nick and I are having date night, as per usual for Friday nights. We're going to the Drive-In. We're living it up like it's 1967! Haha, should be fun and nice to do something different.
How is your world?
This coat by Romeo and Juliet Couture for $25, and a little black sweaterdress by IISLI for 11.99. Holy steals!
Now, to find an use for a coat in Arizona when it's 110 out.
In other news, my mother is coming to visit this week, she hasn't really been here yet, so I'm pretty excited. We're planning stops at Fashion Square (hello Neimans, Nordies, Burberry, Louis, Juicy & et all!) , Sedona,Jerome, Flagstaff, the Art Museum, getting our mani/pedi on, bargain shopping and just generally hanging out. Should be fun!
So today, we're going to clean up the house, in prep for her arrival.
Oh, and in one month and two days.. VEGAS BABY! I can't wait! I think the end half of 08 is going to be AMAZING!
2 - Those three new pairs of shoes totalled LESS than $20.
3 - Those 3 pairs of shoes are NOT no-name. I was killing time before a movie in Casa Grande and went to Dillards. Lo and behold, a rack with a $4.99 sign on it, with shoes. Normally, this is a turn off, what good can possibly come from 5 dollar shoes, right? WRONG. TRIBECA, BCBG & Jessica Simpson shoes on super-clearance. I just hit the JACKPOT! I passed on the BCBG ones (too tight) but snagged these beauties.
4 - THEY ARE ALL GORGEOUS
5 - I've purchased 6 pairs of shoes in 30 days. I'm done now.
Outfit post, for good measure - this is now known as my lucky top - Necklace & wrap from H&M, Jeans from a boutique in Montreal.
GOOD, GOOD DAY! :D Amazing shoes, funny movie, good food and great conversation with a great friend that I don't see often enough!
Nick and I went out for dinner (wow! #1) and had a marathon 3 hour date (wow! #2) with the best conversation, food and drink.
Personally, I think it had to do with the fact that I had a good outfit on ;) as I've been having a HELL of a few days.
Hope you all had a wonderful and meaningful Friday night.
an impromptu trip to the mall landed us at the MAC counter at Nordstrom. The makeup artist was my sister's body double, it was so surreal!
At any rate, she did an amazing job, and suffice to say, I dropped some money during my visit.
