I've been looking for a pair of shoes like this since seeing SATC. They aren't exactly like Carrie's Dior Extreme, but they have the same effect. They're really trendy, so I'm glad I got away with these for $15, instead of the $100 ones I've been looking at.
We went out to lunch, and while we were sitting at Sauce at the Scottsdale Waterfront, we got to talking about how much the house needs an update. We're both so busy, so decorating has always been something that never really was a priority. We were inspired, and set out to a bunch of stores to dress up the dining room. I don't have before pictures, (I would never take pictures of it, it was ugly!!) but I feel much better about posting them now.
Oh, and of course, we had to stop into Sprinkles. SO WORTH THE TRIP. Those cupcakes were divine! Now, all we need is a Pinkberry, and it'll be like living in an LA clone!
Hope you all had a beautiful day!
You know, I never expect much from hip hop routines.. I just don't like ones they've come up with this season.
That being said, Chelsie and Marc were out of this world. Impeccable.. amazing, and I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I had a tear in my eye at the end of the routine. It really brought me back to when Nick and I were first married, and we spent so much time apart growing his company. Maybe that's why this routine sticks out to me and hits me so hard. But Napoleon and Tabitha did an amazing job with the choreography.
Every year, there's a small handful of routines that are amazing and memorable.. this was one of them.
they ARE the couple to beat.
god, can you tell I haven't been to a wedding since my own? ffs! I'm stressing this big time.
Okay, so after much freaking-out upon my lovely best friend of all time yesterday, this dress was chosen:
and I'm putting feelers out about these shoes:
which Im going to get ANYWAY because I LOVE THEM... and I'm getting these for her bachlorette party/life, because I think they're so cute, I love the ombre purple!
God, I promise I have more to talk about than shoes and dresses. I swear... I just can't see past them right now. eegads!
I had to!
left to right: new Enzo pink strappy heels - gorgeous, so comfy and def what I've been craving since seein SATC & a Juicy Couture Wishbone Charm necklace. Everything here was less than $75.. together!
I need to put myself on shopping hiatus! But I'm really trying to step up my shoe collection. I've grown tired of the same Issac Mizrahi shoes over and over again.. I need some fun shoes! And I'm of the policy that "one shoe in, one shoe out".. so that everytime a new pair of shoes comes into the house, I get rid of an old pair I don't wear anymore... either by giving them to a friend, donating them, or tossing them out. If I could have the amount of shoes I have now, and they're all shoes like the ones above, I think I'd be the happiest girl ever.
Now, the next task.. finding a dress to go with those shoes for Liane's wedding! ;)
I love you. And your cheap bags. I snagged this one, for $15.. it's Marc Jacobs ESQUE, from about 2 years ago. I've been looking at the Melie Bianco version for a while, and it's been sold out everywhere in black... so I'm stoked that I found it on Ebay!
Edited to add:
and this is what I wore yesterday.. my new bag will take this to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL! <3
I officially started planning for our October trip to Orlando. What does that entail for me? Putting together a packet (yes, a packet) of the following information:
- Overview map of Disneyworld
- Maps & attractions of each individual park (including highlighting everything I want to see at each one - hello Canada Pavillion at Epcot!)
- A google map route from the resort to the Magic Kingdom (the furthest drive)
- Tickets & pass information
- Pricing on car rental for the week
- Airline information (pricing, available flights, etc)
- Printout of all closets convenience and grocery stores in relation to the resort
I'm a little Type A ; Nick and I had a meeting about the trip this morning, filled with red pen & highlighting.
You would swear I'm going to a foreign land, and not a theme park. Ah well, you guys know me. Disney is life! The suite is booked at the resort (we're staying off-park, which is a bummer, until I think about the fact that it's an apartment and not a tiny room), and we're booking tickets asap.
The next four months will prove to be busy ones.. amongst all of the preparation for Phoenix Fashion Week (see asterisk at the bottom of this) which is Oct 1-4 this year, I have family coming in for a week in july/august, LIANE&VEGAS at the end of August and now this trip.
It's amazing to think that the year is already half over, and that the rest of it is going to fly.
I don't have much other news to report, other than I am currently undergoing a facial peel - it's day 3, and it's really not that big a deal... and yes, I should have before/after pictures. Hopefully I'll get some kickass results. The only downside is to avoid direct sunlight, and with Phoenix summer in full swing, that's nearly impossible.. so I've been cooped up in the house all weekend with my tv, my computer and my pitcher of lemonade. I was able to go out today, so I went to the mall for lunch with Nick & saw the Hulk. Great movie. Wonderful movie. Ed Norton was amazing. You really FEEL for his character. If you're on the fence about seeing it, I would go. It's really brilliant.
In other news, an XL tank from Old Navy is too big on me.
