I'll be driving to Las Vegas to see my best friend get married.
I can't wait! I better find some waterproof mascara, because I am SO going to need it!
I do have a few other projects I'm itching to tell you about, but I have my hands tied for now. Which sucks, because they are SO EXCITING!
All in due time I suppose.
Yeah, worthless post!
Saturday was a much needed rest-day. It was spent with Husband, the MythTV Box & Scott Bakula circa 1989. (Quantum Leap is my new-old favourite show. Who knew Quantum Physicists could be so HOT!)
Sunday, we decided to actually do something. We packed up in the morning, had breakfast with the family and drove up to the NE AZ, E of Payson, and went hiking along the rim, and then over to Woods Canyon Lake. I had never been there before, and it was so beautiful. Took some pictures, hung out with the man and the pup, had great conversations and came back feeling like a million bucks.

Back to the grind now, have a few projects I'm working on.
I officially started planning for our October trip to Orlando. What does that entail for me? Putting together a packet (yes, a packet) of the following information:
- Overview map of Disneyworld
- Maps & attractions of each individual park (including highlighting everything I want to see at each one - hello Canada Pavillion at Epcot!)
- A google map route from the resort to the Magic Kingdom (the furthest drive)
- Tickets & pass information
- Pricing on car rental for the week
- Airline information (pricing, available flights, etc)
- Printout of all closets convenience and grocery stores in relation to the resort
I'm a little Type A ; Nick and I had a meeting about the trip this morning, filled with red pen & highlighting.
You would swear I'm going to a foreign land, and not a theme park. Ah well, you guys know me. Disney is life! The suite is booked at the resort (we're staying off-park, which is a bummer, until I think about the fact that it's an apartment and not a tiny room), and we're booking tickets asap.
The next four months will prove to be busy ones.. amongst all of the preparation for Phoenix Fashion Week (see asterisk at the bottom of this) which is Oct 1-4 this year, I have family coming in for a week in july/august, LIANE&VEGAS at the end of August and now this trip.
It's amazing to think that the year is already half over, and that the rest of it is going to fly.
I don't have much other news to report, other than I am currently undergoing a facial peel - it's day 3, and it's really not that big a deal... and yes, I should have before/after pictures. Hopefully I'll get some kickass results. The only downside is to avoid direct sunlight, and with Phoenix summer in full swing, that's nearly impossible.. so I've been cooped up in the house all weekend with my tv, my computer and my pitcher of lemonade. I was able to go out today, so I went to the mall for lunch with Nick & saw the Hulk. Great movie. Wonderful movie. Ed Norton was amazing. You really FEEL for his character. If you're on the fence about seeing it, I would go. It's really brilliant.
In other news, an XL tank from Old Navy is too big on me.

* Outside the Cube has officially signed with Phoenix Fashion Week to be the sole marketing & design consulting firm for the next two years! If you're in the Phoenix area, start looking out for us. We're so proud to be a part of this event.. our love for marketing and creativity is a perfect match for their project. More information about PFW will follow. Also, keep an eye out at OTC's official website for a bit of a facelift and a Works page.
...officially confirmed for this year: End of August: 4 days in VEGAS, baby! && End of October... 8 days in FLORIDA!
Can. Not. WAIT.
Big news coming soon! Stay Tuned!
I'm off to Sedona again for the weekend.. this time, I'm bringing backup batteries!!
Have a great weekend all - I WILL have pictures!
I have signed up for an extremely large amount of trips coming up this next 18 months. So much so, that I don't know that I can do them all, but dammit, I'm going to try. Here are the cities I'm hoping to visit in the next year and a half:
Manchester, NH
Washington, DC
Kissimee, FL
Lake Havasu, AZ
Sedona, AZ
Las Vegas, NV
Los Angeles, CA
Cancun, MX
New York, NY
The ones that are really attainable are:
Lake Havasu, AZ
Sedona, AZ
Las Vegas, NV
Los Angeles, CA
Cancun, MX
But I really want to do DC/Machester/NewYork all in the same trip, since they're all within 10 hours of Baltimore.
I like having it all written down, it's like a goals list :)
I'm off to Sedona for the night to hang out in the cold. Expect pictures.
